Class Project - Building Secure Web Apps (CMSC388J) | College Park, MD | May 2024
The Higher or Lower Game Project was the final project for the Building Secure Web Applications class, developed with two teammates. This full-stack web application challenges users to compare sets of games and select the higher-rated one. The project includes secure login and registration features, allowing players to create personalized, encrypted accounts and compete for spots on the website's leaderboard.
This project showcases my technical skills in full-stack development and secure web application design. In this project, I used Python and Flask for the back-end architecture, implementing authentication and encryption protocols to ensure user data security. On the front end, I utilized HTML/CSS, Tailwind, and JavaScript to create a visually appealing user interface.
Working with teammates taught me lessons in collaboration and agile project management, as we used frameworks like Django and iterative sprints to coordinate development. This project reflects my ability to manage full-stack workflows and build applications that balance usability with functionality. These skills align directly with my professional aspirations in software engineering and developing user-focused applications.
